Weston is officially in his 3rd week of "school" and going strong! I cannot even tell you how nervous I was for him and so worried that he would be scared and think we were never coming back for him!!

I have prayed so hard that he would really like it there and so far he has done great! He was so excited to go at first and didn't cry at all! Since then he has cried some when we drop him off but his teacher said he doesn't cry long at all, and that he's been having good days! I know that one big things that have helped is that cousin Annabelle is there too and they get to be in the same class! YAY!!! They are the sweetest cousins and they are very close, so I know that its comforting for Weston to get to have her with him all day. I am sooooo glad. I cannot even describe what a relief it is for us that he has been doing good so far in "school" :-)

"Chattanooga, this week-eeeeeend"

This past weekend we randomly decided to take a little trip to Chattanooga to take Wes to the aquarium and to the zoo there. We left early Friday afternoon and headed for the aquarium.

Weston was so excited when we got there and loved seeing all the different fish and animals. He liked the stingrays and even tried to pet them.

The tightwad in me did NOT want to splurge on the nice hotel room but I'm sooo glad we did! It was super nice!! I think Weston was just as excited about the room and the giant bed as he was about everything else!

then we went down for a little pool time....

He cried for them when we all had to leave!

We got up Saturday morning and went to the zoo. It was pretty hot but we played it smart and got there early so we weren't miserable. It worked out perfect.

We could not believe how pretty these jaguars were, but they kept pacing back and forth in front of the window and purring really loud. It was kinda scary! But it was still really neat!

We left the zoo and Carson had to make a stop at the Sportsman's Warehouse to check out the duck hunting gear and shotgun shells and then we headed towards home. I love that it was only a 2 hour drive. Its was so nice and fun to do something out of our norm. I told Carson it felt like we had gone on vacation and we were only gone for 1 night!

We will have to do it again sometime soon. It was so much fun!

Happy 2nd Birthday Weston!!

Weston turned 2 years old on May 27th. We had a birthday party for him the next day at our house. So many of our sweet friends and family came and it was so much fun! We had a cookout and did a Lightning McQueen theme since Lightning is his absolute favorite! I think all the kids had a really good time playing together. It was kind of hot that day but we scheduled the party for 6:00 hoping it would be a little cooler by then. By the time the party started the weather was perfect and it felt so nice outside. I was so thankful after last years party got stormed out and we were all trapped in the house!

Here are some pictures of the day. My sweet friend Amanda came and took pictures for us so we wouldn't have to worry about it. She did such a wonderful job! Thank you Amanda!!

And I cant even begin to say how precious it was when we sang Happy Birthday to him.

Evenings

Most days when I'm at work I am itching to get home to Carson and Weston. Its the best time of the day! Usually when I get home I spend a few minutes unloading all of our stuff from the day and trying to pick up a little bit of the tornado we left from getting ready in the morning.

I love to cook but on days I have to work I usually try to make quick and simple dinners so I don't have to spend any more time than I have to cooking and cleaning in the kitchen. After that we usually try to squeeze in as much together time as possible. I love that its warm right now because most evenings we stay outside until its starts getting dark (or when we get tired of being eaten alive my mosquitoes). So here are some pictures we've taken (mostly on our phones) over the last few weeks of our evenings.

Weston's Nana and Paw Paw gave him the swing set that was in their yard and a new car swing as an early birthday present. He has been LOVING that thing and has spent so much time in it already! It's been alot of fun to see him enjoy it so much.

then we come in for bath time - another one of Weston's favorite things.

We usually lay out his diaper, jammas, lotion or whatever we need on our bed and bring him straight there after his bath. As soon as we lay him down to get dressed its like something snaps and he starts going wild! His little nakie self crawls, jumps and bounces all over the bed, he burrows himself under the pillows, flips all over the place and cracks up laughing the whole time! It is SO funny to watch!!

Then after the sheer torture of actually having to get dressed we usually snuggle on the couch with some milk and one of his favorite movies on until he gets sleepy and ready for bed, or just falls asleep. This is how I found him a few nights ago after a long day of playing:

Mother's Day Weekend!

We had an awesome weekend with not much to do -which was so nice! Friday Night we went to Preston's going away party, Saturday Carson went to Alabama with Chris, Kelly, Collin and some other people from church to to do some tornado clean up while me and Wes stayed home and bummed around most of the day. It was really nice. Saturday night we went to eat Mexican and went to the park. I woke up Sunday morning to a sweet card, a big bag of my favorite candy-pretzel M&M's, a fun magazine, from Carson and Wes and a card and flowers from my brother. It was all so sweet! We went to church and then had lunch with Collin, Erin & Annabelle and then came home and played outside almost all day. It was so nice! Here are some pictures from our fun day together:

We sure do miss this Da-dee!

Today is the 4th out of 6 days Carson has been on the mission trip to Honduras. We sure have been missing him. I've talked to him probably a total of 60 seconds since he's been gone. Its felt weird because we usually talk or text each other a bunch during the day! I'm sure they have been able to do some wonderful things though.

Wes and I have been staying at my mom and brothers house this week. I'm not really scared to stay by myself but it feels lonely at home without Carson. We've been having a great time over there though. Mom took several days off work to help me out so I wouldn't have to stress about getting Wes ready to go by myself and getting to work on time, and she has been cooking us dinner and helping with all kinds of stuff. Steven and Wes have been bff's all week too, so he has been helping me alot with him. It has felt like a vacation for me! Its been so nice! I'm so thankful for all their help this week (and all the time)!

We have been taking walks around the neighborhood and down to the boat dock at the lake.

Tomorrow I have the day off and I'm going to get up early and watch the Royal Wedding (can't wait!), then Wes & I are are gonna meet Erin & Anna and go have lunch with Kelly at the Chick-fil-a Corporate office where she works, then we have the rest of the day to do whatever we want! It will be a fun day and I'm excited!

Can't wait for you to come home da-dee! We miss you!

Badge

"Badge" is the nickname given to my brother by his friends when he started in the police academy...and it has stuck. Its pretty funny though! Last week our family had the privilege of going to his promotion ceremony at the Police Department where he works. He got promoted to Corporal so he will be one of the leaders of his shift. We are so proud of Steven! He is such a great guy, a hard worker, a great big brother and even more awesome uncle (or "Guncle" as Weston would say). The Chief of Police was so nice and had so many nice things to say about Steven. He was also one of his professors in college, and he said he knew from the beginning he would love to have Steven be a part of his Department.

The ceremony was in a small conference room that was kinda crowded and Weston was a pistol during most of the ceremony. He screamed during the prayer AND Pledge of Allegiance AND if anyone tried to hold him. GEEZ! It was making me sweat haha!! But we were so glad to be able to be there anyways!

Easter Weekend

We had such a busy but FUN Easter weekend filled with lots of Jesus, friends, family, food and egg hunts!

Saturday morning started off with our small group getting together at the Hanes' house. We all brought our kiddos, a side dish and eggs. It was such a fun time to be together. I love our group and Brittany is such a sweet hostess!

then Erin & Annabelle and Me and Weston Then we came home to rest and get ready for the next round. Dinner at Nana & Paw-Paws! We all hung out, ate, hunted eggs, and went to see all their horses and dogs. The kids had so much fun playing together! This is Weston's new favorite thing to do: He pulls his fists down and says "YESSSS" but it actually sounds more like "ettthhh" with his little lisp. It is so cute and funny!

Hike with Hope

In just 9 short days from now Carson will be packing up and heading to Delicias, Honduras on a mission trip with Hike With Hope. I'm a little nervous because Weston and I have never been away from him for that long, but I'm so excited for him and the whole team to be able to go and serve the people they will be coming in contact with!

Hike With Hope is a Ministry that got started from a vision that our friend Chris shared with a few others to start and their mission and vision is to "Demonstrate God's love through connecting inaccessible resources to people groups in need." whether that be someone in another country or someone in our own community.

The team has been working very hard by hosting events for fundraising, making bracelets to sell, selling their other different merchandise, and going on practice hikes to get prepared for the trip, since it takes an entire days hike just to get to the village they are going to. (not to mention several trips to R.E.I. for "necessities". riiiight. ha!!)

One of the things they raise money for is to give big bags of rice and beans to families. One bag of each is like an entire months worth of food for those families. I think the thing that stuck out to me the most is when Chris told us stories from the last trip of families just weeping when they were given these bags of food. Something that would probably mean so little to us means the world to someone who isn't really sure if their family will be able to eat tomorrow or not. WOW!!!

Below is a picture from last years trip. Its of the kids holding up their bracelets they were given. When the team gives them the bracelets, they let them know that there are people where they came from that wear the exact same bracelets to remind them to pray for them. I think that is just so awesome for them to know they actually have people that think about them and pray for them!

Like many other working mommy's, even though I would LOVE to be able to be home with Weston every day, its just not financially possible for us right now. Hopefully one day, but for now I know that I need to be helping my family out in that way. God has blessed us SOOOOO much with people in our lives that love our little man and are always there to help us out with him when we need it. Some do it every week and some every now and then. My heart is forever grateful for all these special family and friends! One of my favorite things is when I get pictures during the day to show me what Wes is up to, napping, eating or getting into mischief!

Daddy's Overalls

(Sidenote: This title Daddy's Overalls made me think of the time Abi told us her dad Randy thought "Mama's Slippers" was the name of the Newsong song Christmas Shoes. hahaha!!!!!! LOVE IT! ANYWAYS..... back to the post.) When Weston was born Carson's mom gave us a very special gift that I just TREASURE! She gave us the sweetest little pair of Oshkosh overalls Carson wore when he was a baby. He wore them, his little brother Collin wore them and then both of his cousins Taylor and Cameron wore them. She saved them all these years just in case Carson and Collin ever had little boys. I have been waiting on the day Weston could finally fit into them and sure enough that day came. I have squealed and ooohh'd and ahhhh'd over him wearing them pretty much every time I put them on him. They are just too precious. One evening we decided to do a spur of the moment photo shoot in our backyard cause the cuteness just HAS to be documented. So, here ya go!

Cousin Painting

Every Wednesday night my adorable niece Annabelle comes over to play with us while her Mommy & Daddy go to their home group. We always have lots of fun eating dinner, playing, dancing and watching movies. Last week I thought it would be fun for them to paint a picture together. We got out the paints and "Cars" giant coloring pages and let them go to town. They loved it! They did great buuuut it didn't take long for it to get out of hand... Before I realized it Anna's leg was covered in red paint and Wes had drawn a green mural on the hardwood floor. I didn't get a picture of that because I was too busy trying to swoop them up and throw them in the tub!

It was fun while it lasted and they have a cute painting to show for it. Thank the Lord for washable Crayola paints that wipe off easily!!!

Spring Blooms

I cant tell you how much Ive been enjoying Spring this year! There are so many beautiful things to see outside right now. Its like a feast for your eyes! Our yard has been filled with lots of different blooms that are all soooo pretty! Here are a few of them..... (and I'm no expert, I only know these few things because Ms. Terri tells me about them! ha! but maybe one day I could be as good of a gardener as her!)

Waterpark and Cheerleading Competition!

A few weekends ago Jane, Cody, Maddie, Carson, Wes and I packed up to go to Pigeon Forge/Sevierville, TN for Maddie's cheerleading competition. We had the BEST time!! The hotel we stayed at was called Wilderness at the Smokies and it was so nice and had a HUGE indoor waterpark. It was so much fun. There was lots of stuff for the kids to do and the adults too. Carson even talked me into riding "The Storm Chaser" (the water ride of death!) and if you know me that's a big deal because I'm really not adventurous at all when it comes to stuff like that! But I'm glad I did cause it actually was fun - even though I had my eyes closed most of the time! We all played at the water park, hung around the hotel, ate lots of good food and most importantly went to the cheer competition. Maddie and her squad The Tiny Teals did GREAT and ended up winning 2nd place out of their level!! It was so cute!! So here are a few pics of our awesome weekend away!

My brain is full from thinking of all the things that are coming up in the next 5 weeks.....

Feb 27 we are hosting a bridal shower for Abi, March 5th is Livi's birthday party and Sage & Stacie's wedding, March 11-13 we will be in Sevierville, TN for Maddie's cheer leading competition, March 17th is Abi's Lingerie shower at my house, 17-19th Batchelorette Trip to the mountains and Jackson's birthday party, then the 26 will be the wedding. Not to mention all the in-between of shopping for supplies, cleaning for company, cooking and just getting ready in general- whew, I'm tired just thinking about it all! So pretty much Abi is taking over our lives right now! haha j/k! but we are so excited to be able to do these things for one of our bff's and actually get to spend some time together -that's what I'm MOST excited about!!

Oh and this past weekend was my sweet little niece's 2nd birthday party! We had so much fun! You can read about it and see pictures here on my SIL's blog. We will be celebrating her real birthday tomorrow night too! Love that little cutie!!

Spring Teaser

We have SO been enjoying the streak of warm sunny weather we've had lately. It has been so nice and we've been trying to get outside as much as possible. One of Weston's favorite things to do is walk around the yard and the field behind our house. He's always got to have stuff in his hands like sticks, rocks, leaves, sidewalk chalk cars; you name it and he'll hold on to it. If he could make a wish it would probably be for more hands to hold his stuff with!

The Thomas outfit was a gift from Great Grandma Waddington. Even though its a blazing "character" outfit I think its so cute on him and Wes likes to wear his choo-choo shirt :-)

Sleepover with Cole

A few weeks ago we had the priveledge of Cole-man coming to spend the night with us! Britton Kids love to spend the night off and they always want to come BY THEMSELVES-no other brothers of sisters allowed! So this time it was Cole's turn to come BY HIMSELF and he was pumped! I picked him up after work and we came home had pizza, played and watched movies. Weston was SO excited to have one of the "bubbas" over!

Weston blinked but I still thought this was so cute!

So we all piled in my bed to go to sleep and Weston kept getting right next to Cole and snuggling with him. When he woke up the next morning he sat up, looked to make sure Cole was still here, pulled his nu-nu out and smiled the biggest smile. It was like he was saying "yay, he's still here!" Too sweet!!!

The next day we played some more, watched some more movies and had Happy Meals for lunch. We had such a fun time with Cole!

UTAH!

In January we got the chance to fly to Utah to see some of our family. I cannot even to tell you how great of a time we had!!! Obviously Utah is very far away from Georgia and we dont get the chance to see our family often enough. So we were so happy to have the opportunity to go for 5 days! It was great! We got to have a huge family lunch together, spend time just hanging out, see some cool things and of course EAT tons of good stuff.

Some highlights of our trips were.......... *Seeing lots of family, my grandmother, aunts, uncles, cousins, babies and friends *Getting to stay at Rob and Toni's house *The beautiful snowy mountains *Rock band and Just Dance (Steven and Carson kicking tail to some MC Hammer and Kris Kross) *Cabela's *Dinner at Aunt Kathy's house and Dan teaching me to make authentic green chili (I still need to practice that!) *La Frontera and Dairy Delight -if you are EVER in Tooele, Utah you have to eat at both of those places! * And the sweetest of all was Cousin Collin being attached to me the whole time, playing with my ponytail and his great lines like "what you talkin bout boy?" So here are lots of pictures of it all!

The Pink Pig

For some reason I had really been wanting to take Weston to ride The Pink Pig at Lenox Mall. Its something that alot of people make a yearly tradition out of and I thought he would really enjoy it. So we picked up Chris and Kelly and headed to Lenox. Wes liked the train ride but when Priscilla (The Pig) started talking it was really loud and kinda freaked him out a little. He laid his head on me and squeezed my finger the whole time! It was funny! It was dark and fast so Carson couldn't get a good picture of us so here's what we have! -see the blur below! ha!

After we rode the Pig were all starving, Weston wasn't feeling good so he was ill and pitching a fit when we sat down to eat. When Carson was handing me our fries they slipped out of both our hands and landed all over the ground, and then we had to stand in line again forever while Wes was still ticked! We all sat chewing our food almost in silence. Poor Chris and Kelly had to sit in our tension!! It was just one of those moments, but I'm glad they love us even when we have them! After we left Wes fell asleep in the car and we stopped and got coffee and rode down Paces Ferry so we could see all the mansions with their Christmas decorations. We all talked and laughed the entire way home. Minus the beginning of dinner it ended up being a good fun night!

Missing the Park!

One of Weston's favorite things to do is PLAY OUTSIDE!!! Our town has only had one park for a long time and even though it does the trick, it's not very nice. But this fall good ol Villa Rica got a brand new park and its SO cool! We have loved going there! These pictures are from a few weeks ago when it was like 80 degrees outside, but the weather has finally turned wintery and its too cold to go now. I dont want to wish the whole winter away but I do wish the cold weather away so we can go play again!

A Mr. Bulldog Homecoming

A few weekends ago we went to see the boys at their annual football homecoming. They usually do the normal walk through at the football field and announce every player and cheerleader but this year they decided to change it up and have a dance for all the kids. I think the kids liked that idea waaaaaay better! We showed up and the kids were all running around having a blast and dancing it up! ha!

This year Cole and Brock won the Mr. Bulldog award for their teams.

They were so excited and we were so happy for them. They got a HUGE trophy and a football signed by their team. It was sweet.

Even though Cody and Levi didn't get a trophy this time we were still proud of them for being happy for their brothers!

While we were there Maddie was tearing it up on the dance floor. The child loves to shake it!! Its so funny to watch! Weston wanted to dance with her so off they went!

But we had a good time seeing them at their homecoming!! We love them all so much!

Halloween 2010

It may be a little late but I wanted to share about our fun Halloween events this year!

We did some sweet pumpkin carving with Amanda Gina, Myles, Ben and Dan!

We really wanted Myles and Weston to love getting all messy and into the pumpkin carving but they didnt really care much about it....oh well, maybe next year!

They looked so cool and fun! Then on the Saturday before Halloween our town was having a little event for kids to come to where they could go on hayrides and go trick-or-treating to all the little places in town. The kids had lots of fun running around and getting candy and all kinds of goodies.

Weston and Annabelle's Nana and Paw Paw were in charge of the hayrides so they got to get on with their daddies first! They loved it!

My good friend Jane has so many costumes from when the boys were little so I had a big variety to pick from! This year Weston wore the Indian costume Cody wore when he was a baby.

October 31st is my brothers birthday so we usually have chili and desserts and then go trick or treating in his neighborhood, but he had to work this year so we broke tradition.

Instead we went to the Trunk-or-Treat at Plasant Grove church just down the road from our house. It was one of the smaller ones so we thought that would be better to take the kiddo's to. Everyone was so sweet and the kids had lots of fun running around and got lots of good candy (for us to eat!) Then we went back to our house and had a last minute bon-fire and lots of fun friends drop by. We all had a great time and a great Halloween!! Hope everyone else did too!

Rainy Day & Mall Fun

Last night we wanted to get out of the house and take Weston somewhere to play. It has been raining for the past 2 days so we haven't had the chance to play outside much and we couldn't go to the park. We ate a quick dinner of leftovers and headed to the mall. Our mall has the cutest little play place with all kinds of little cars and slides and just fun stuff for kids to monkey around on. We had so much fun running around and playing with Weston and just getting out of the house. We will definitely be doing that more often, especially because its FREE! Plus its going to be getting dark sooner and getting COLD!

This past weekend we took a mini vacation to Florida! We stayed at the Phillips beautiful beach bungalow. It was so beautiful and Van and Terri are hands down the BEST hosts you will ever have. We were treated and served and the whole time we were there! We had the best time and are so thankful they let us come see them! It was also Weston's first time to ever go to the beach so it was a special trip all around.

Here we are on the way down: driving, cheesing, and snoozing! Weston was an angel in the car and didn't cry one time the whole 6 hour drive!! He was amazed when I broke out the portable DVD player so that might have had a little something to do with it!

We got there around 12:30 on Thursday night and stayed up and visited for a while. And checked out the new house. It is so awesome (and I'm regretting not taking more pictures of it)!

Friday morning we got up and ate breakfast and got ready to head to the beach which is just across the street. I was so excited for Weston to see it! As soon as we walked up to it he was smiling, jabbering and waving to the water. Here are some pictures of his first ocean waves! He was so pumped!

He spent his time crawling EVERYWHERE, playing with his toys, and eating sand covered snacks. He loved the beach so much!

We spend most of the day there and just hung around the house and grilled hot dogs that night. It was a great day!

Today at Kelly's Korner its all about your engagement stories. How fun! Carson and I had been dating for a looong time and I was starting to think he would never ask me to marry him! But when he finally did he really did it up, so I'll try to make this as short as possible! November 9th 2007: Anybody that knows me knows I'm a HUGE Bon Jovi fanatic! I LOVE them and try to go to as many concerts that I can. Well one of my best friends Abi for my birthday got us tickets to go see Bon Jovi in concert in New Jersey (amazing gift I know!!) We flew out early Friday morning and spent the entire day and half of Saturday in NYC. We had a blast. Saturday afternoon we headed to the hotel to get ready for the concert and while we were in the lobby we found out the Dallas Cowboys were staying at our same hotel. We were pumped! And lets just say by their actions a few of them thought Abi was a hottie - cause she is. ha!! So we went to the concert, had an AWESOME time singing and dancing our butts off the whole show and after it was over some people told us the band sometimes goes to this bar down the road after shows; so what does any girl do? Of course we had to go check it out! We hung out there for a few hours with no sign of them so we headed back to the hotel. When we got there there were flowers and a bottle of wine in our room! I started freaking out telling Abi that it HAD to be from one of the Dallas Cowboys cause I just knew they wanted to hook up with her!! hahahaha!! She was dying laughing cause she knew the truth and what was really going on! Next thing I know there was a knock at the door (and I was really freaking out now!!) So she told me to go answer it, so I opened the door and.........I SEE CARSON ON ONE KNEE HOLDING OUT A RING!!!!!! I slammed the door in his face and screamed! It took me a second to actually realize what was going on because that was the very last thing I had ever expected!!! I had no clue him and our cousin Blake had flown all the way up there to surprise me and ask me to marry him!!! I was SO shocked and excited and happy and of course I said YES!!!!!!! Our Smallgroup is just starting to read this book Crazy Love by Francis Chan. We are only 2 chapters into it and it has already having such and impact on my perspective and the reality of the way I should be thinking about things. I can t wait to study more and see what all God wants to show our group through this book!

So, about our Smallgroup, LOVE THEM!!! We are all becoming such a great friends, and it makes it easy when you're all in such a similar stage of life. We have six couples who have all had babies within about a year of each other. (Chris and Kelly just moved back and now they're the only baby-less ones so we need to work on them. ha! j/k) Its pretty crazy when we're all together but we always have a great time hanging out and talking and growing together. All the babies are so cute and so sweet. They will grow up being great friends!

Friday night we had a girls/babies hang out night at Erins house. We had so much fun eating, talking, and watching the babies play with each other. We kept laughing about how much our girls night have changed from the past! We still have a blast though no matter what we do and how could you not with these little cuties?!

Finally posting some pictures of our trip last month! We flew out to San Diego on a Saturday and spent the week driving on Route 66 across the country with Chris and Kelly! It was so much fun! We stopped to take a picture at every state sign on the way, by the end of the week we got really good at rigging up our cameras and setting the timer! We ate at so many good places, and several from the show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. We got to see so many awesome things on the way that we dont ever get to see. Im so glad we got to go on this trip with them!

Weston's 11 months today!

One more month till his first birthday. AHHHH! :-)

Mom always sends me pictures from her phone on days she keeps Weston. Here he is snoozing away and then here's his bed head after his nap! HA! So cute!!!

He got his first bottom tooth a few weeks ago and now the other bottom one and BOTH top ones are coming in. Even though I love the gummy smile, the new teethie smile is so cute too!

He is a super fast crawler now. He loves darting around the house to see what he can get into or pull up on next!

Loves getting to try new foods. Latest favorite is cinnamon raisin bread.

He just learned how to clap, dance and push his cars and trucks around all over the floor and make car noises. Its all so cute!

He loves to give sugar -big open mouth wet slobbery sugars!

He LOVES playing and being around other kids.

WESTON IS SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!!

We had a great weekend: Friday night with girlfriends, pizza, ice cream and babies!

Saturday at Hobby Lobby to start getting things things for his first birthday party and then relaxing at home home cause it was so stormy!!

And Sunday we went to church, came home and had a cookout with the Brittons and played outside most of the day and then went to smallgroup. It was all so much fun!

We have a busy week this week with Westhills softball games an then getting ready for our Womens Retreat at church this weekend. We'll be there Thursday to help decorate and set up and then Friday and Saturday for the retreat. I am so looking forward to it!

We made it back from our vacation this past Thursday. We had an AMAZING time the whole week and we got to see so many fun things on our cross country drive. It was good to make it home and squeeze and smooch all over Weston. He was happy to see us for about 5 minutes then he was ready to do cooler things like crawl around and play. HA!! I'll be sure to blog about our trip and share some of our cool and hilarious pictures when I have time. We had a GREAT Easter weekend just being busy and spending time with our families. lots of randomness that's going on in my brain today :-) *Carson and I went to Carrabbas for our Anniversary dinner on Monday night. Its Thursday now and I am still thinking about the lobster macaroni and cheese I had. It was seriously the best meal I've ever had! *I'm sad that Lacey got kicked off American Idol last night. She isn't the best singer but I liked her and her funky clothes and hair. oh well. * Weston is CRAWLING!! He's not very fast yet but he's getting there. Its so hilarious to watch. He usually takes a few crawls and then does the army man since he's gotten so good at it! HA! *I'm in the mood to get the stuff to start on the crafts for Weston's 1st birthday party. I know its like 2 months away but I have lots of ideas and I want to get a head start on them! Its gonna be so fun! *We are leaving on the 27th (10 days) to go to San Diego. I'm have so many mixed emotions about this trip. I'm excited because I love to go places with Carson, we have so much fun together and San Diego is so awesome, beautiful, warm, fun etc. We will get to go to an Elevate church service while we're there. I am so proud of how well their ministry is doing and it will be awesome to finally get see it all in action! I have a plan of driving to Orange County/Coto and stalking around where the Real Housewives of Orange County hang out (I have sick love for them even though the show is such trashy drama!) But after church and a banquet on Sunday we will be leaving and helping Chris and Kelly move home from S.D. back to Georgia. This is such a bitter-sweet time for them because even though a part of them will be happy to come back, they have poured their lives out for Elevate and made so many life long friends that will miss so much! Please pray for them because I know this is hard. SOOOO we will be driving across country which will be a fun adventure, but I will be doing this WITHOUT WESTON :-(((((( He has only spent the night away from me one time so I'm having serious anxiety about leaving him! I know he will be just fine with his Mimi and Uncle Steven but its ME that's having the hard time! I'm gonna make mom send me a picture or video of him like every 5 minutes!! And because of the trip I am in the process of weaning from the pump too which makes me sad -but also makes me happy I wont have to carry that blasted thing around anymore! We have a love/hate relationship haha!! Anyways I guess that's it. Its nice outside today so hopefully we can go walk at the park when I get off work. Hope you're having a great Thursday!

Its funny to think about what our day was like 2 years ago. It was one of the worst weather days Atlanta has seen in a looooong time!! This is what the sky looked like at about 3..... There was rain, tornadoes, hail, you name it....and this was OUR WEDDING DAY!!!!! It all ended up clearing up and everything turned out fine. I felt so bad when people would show me the hail damage their cars got while they were driving to the church! Praise the Lord everybody made it just fine, and surprisingly I was as cool as a cucumber! Wow, What a memory it was! I still often think about how special the day was in so many ways, how lots of our family traveled so far to come and support us, and also how lots of our family worked so hard to make everything turn out so beautiful! Loooong Update!!

We have had lots and lots of fun things going on these past few weeks. Weston is doing good and still just as sweet as ever. He turned nine months old on the 27th. I cant believe we have a nine month old! I feel like we just came home with him! When we went to the doctor for his nine month checkup the doctor said both of his ears were infected again so that makes #4. They want to keep an eye on it and if he keeps having problems we will go to the specialist to talk about putting tubes in. It makes us sad to see him sick so much. I know this is a minor thing that lots of babies deal with, but I am still hoping he gets better so he doesn't have to go through that. So, come on Spring!! But we are still very thankful for a mostly healthy baby. He is so close to crawling. He is up on all fours rocking and also does this really hilarious "army man crawl". Its so cute and its been so fun to watch him learn all theses different ways to get around. And as of right now he still doesn't have ANY teeth! none, zero, zip! I know he wants to eat more food than he can right now, but he gets choked too easy if he cant gum it enough! So Puffs are still his favorite snack for now. And he's starting to grow more hair too, enough that I can actually brush. ha! Its all different lengths and wispy but at least he's getting some! So funny! Our bald toothless baby! We celebrated Myles 1st Birthday on the February the 11Th and went to his adorable birthday party that Saturday, and then Annabelle's 1st Birthday last week. Collin and Erin had us over for a birthday dinner on Tuesday and then her party was on Saturday. It was all so much fun and the parties were all so cute! It made me even more excited for Weston's first birthday...but I'm in no hurry for it to get here. We're just trying to savor every moment of him still being a baby! Last Sunday we had baby dedications at church. It was so special in so many ways. Weston got to be dedicated with his cousin and 2 other babies in our small group. It was such a sweet time and there were so many people there to show their love and support for all the babies. So much of our family came and I was so thankful to see EACH of their faces there. And so was Weston! We don't have any big plans for the weekend but lots of little plans: *I've GOT to do some cleaning that's way overdue! UGH!! *Carters in having another big 50% off sale and I got a 20% off coupon, so we're gonna try to get Weston some spring/summer clothes. Plus they have another $10 diaper bag offer and ours has about had it so I would like to get that too. *We're gonna try to go the boys' baseball games Saturday if it's warm enough. Last week Cole said "I hope Weston can come to my first game." SO SWEET!! *I have to go to Hobby Lobby to get all the supplies to make Aurora and Maddie's birthday banners and start working on them. I've been a banner making fool since Kelly showed me how. They are so much fun to make and a special thing to give to people for their parties. FUN!! *Hopefully at some point sneak in and see anther couple in our small group that just had their baby last night, Liviana Ruth Parker :-) awwww! * Then we have our normal Sunday morning church and Sunday night small group too! Lots of fun things but most of all Im looking forward to doing it ALL with Carson and Weston. and spending time with other people we love. I LOVE THE WEEKEND!!! Ok, and P.S. I know I am waaaaaaay overdue for an update. I don't know why, but I feel like I cant blog if I don't have pictures to go with a post, but that's LAME-O and and I need to just write anyways or I will end up with a looooong blog like this! Sickness

We've had several different yucky plagues come into our house over the past few weeks. First Weston got sick with a nasty cold that he decided to share with me, and then I decided to share it with mom. We took Weston to the Dr. and he ended up having a double ear infection along with the cold, and they think he is starting with some asthma as well. boo! So our breathing treatment schedule went from 2x a day to 4x a day. She really wanted us to do 6x times a day but could you imagine having to do that 6x times a day? There's NO WAY!!!! Luckily we got to mix 2 of the meds to cut it down to 4x times a day. Then when mom went to the Dr. they told her she had the FLU! Carson never got any of that but what he did get was.......the stomach virus (dun-dun-duuuuuun). It was no good and I felt really bad for him! After lots of sprite, chicken noodle soup, tissues, medicines and saltine crackers here we are 3 weeks later and everyone is finally getting better! So thankful to be able to function (and breathe) again!

Weekends

Our Saturdays lately have been filled with duck hunting for the guys. Can we say OBSESSED? I think they are. Its pretty hilarious! They get up super early and go out in the freezing cold to sit and wait on the ducks to shoot at. Josh, Carson and Davis. Steven, Blake and a few others were missing this day.

Their kill for the day. Pretty good, but I still don't have enough for a meal! And usually if we don't have any plans, Weston and I stay home and play and hang out, which I love since we don't get to do this during the week. This is my view and its the best. He is always holding his hands in some kind of sweet way. They are so sweet and chubby.

And he wakes up....

and says MOM, enough with the pictures already!!!!

He is so used to going all the time since he is at Uncle Steven's or Aunt Jane's every day, that if we stay in the house for too long he starts going stir crazy (I think he gets that from me) so one of our favorite things to do is go to the mall. I know it sounds kind of lame to just go hang out at the mall all the time but he loves it. He loves to look at all the people and stuff in the stores. He is nosey and loves to check everything out.

Last time we were there Carson and I were talking about how different our weekends are from a few years ago. Usually we would be getting all ready to go out to eat and to hang out downtown with friends at some music show. My how the times have changed! We still love those kinds of night when we get the chance but now our Saturday night out is like to the mall and Wal-Mart (how we end up at WM every time I have no clue, we ALWAYS need something from there!) but we still have a great time together and love hanging out with each other and Weston so we wouldn't trade it for any fancy night downtown! So here's Wes riding around the mall in his stroller. He is so much fun!

7 Months!!!!

Who is 7 months old now? This big boy in his new high chair (thanks Aunt Jane!) eating some Puffs. Sorry for the blurry hand, its so hard to get a good picture these days cause Weston is constantly wiggling! He turned 7 months old on the 27th. Wessie-poo, what are you up to these days........ You are constantly smiling. Everyone that sees you talks about what a BEAUTIFUL smile you have. Its the sweetest smile ever! You take six 6 oz bottles a day. You eat cereal and fruit for breakfast and veggies and fruits for dinner. You are starting to eat snacks and will probably start eating lunch very soon too. You LOVE to eat and I'm always scared you're gonna make yourself sick because it takes so much food to fill you up! You are still sleeping like a champ. You have been since you were about 6 weeks old. Thank you! You love to sleep-guess you get that from your daddy! You are in size 9 month clothes and size 3 Pampers. You keep a yucky cough so we have to do breathing treatments with a nebulizer and Albuterol two times a day. I hope you get better so we don't have to do them anymore! You love to play on the floor and roll EVERYWHERE. When you get on your belly you flap your arms and legs and look like you're swimming. You want to go SO bad. I know you will probably be crawling very soon! You have just said your first word and guess what it is? Ma-Ma! You love to babble lots of different sounds but this one is my favorite. You love to take a bath in your duckie bath tub, love to have company over, love to go to the mall grocery store, or anywhere else where there is alot going on so you can check everything out, love to play with your cool toys you got for Christmas and you love to chew on EVERYTHING! You have been so much fun from the beginning and every day we have more and more fun with you. You are such a joy and blessing to us and to everyone you are around. I pray that I never take the time I have with you for granted and that I savor every single day and hour and minute of your sweet little life. Thank you for giving us the best 7 months! We look forward to every month ahead! Love you so much Wessie-poo!!!!!!!

We did lots of running here and there and spent time with lots of people we love!! Christmas Eve we: (I) got up, went grocery shopping, cooked some things for our family get-together went to the family get-together, went to Christmas Eve Service at Westhills, went home to get things ready for the next day, and mom and Steven came over to spend the night. Christmas Day we: Got up, ate breakfast together-Steven cooked us Christmas breakfast- we showed Weston all his gifts and opened our stockings together. Then we got ready went to the Britton's to spend the day over there, and came home to do dinner with Carson's dad and step-mom, Collin, Erin and Annabelle. I know I probably left some things out but that's the most of it. It was all so much fun and took lots of hustling around so we used most of the day Saturday to recooperate!

Christmas Countdown!!

So, Its Tuesday and now 3 days until Christmas. Its all been so exciting this year because we will be celebrating with Weston for the first time; even though I know he probably wont really even know whats going on! This year our family is trying not to go crazy and broke on getting presents for each other but to focus more on making the time we spend together special, and most importantly celebrating the real reason of Christmas....JESUS' BIRTHDAY!! I hope that Weston grows up always knowing what the celebration is all about. Its been a little hard (because everything is SO cute) but we have tried not to go overboard and buy him tons of things that he really doesnt need. The one big thing that I cant wait for him to have is his Radio Flyer pony. It is so adorable and I know he will be able to get use out of it for a long time, and we got it for a great deal which makes it even better! Then we got him some 9 month clothes that he needs since he is starting to bust out of his 6 month stuff. I'll have to get busy packing all those away too. Its always so sad to me to pack away clothes to bring in the bigger ones. It happens too fast!! Surprisingly our December has been pretty calm so far, but I think this week and next will make up for all that. Its all gonna be great though. I hope that I remember to stop and make sure that I am soaking it all in! Merry Christmas week!

Last night we went to the Bass Pro Shop in Leeds AL so Weston could see Santa for the first time. He wasnt scared at all, I think he liked santa, especially his beard. He kept pulling on it and I think it was making Santa a little grumpy.....oh well! :-) We had a good time but we got home soooo late. Here's the only picture I have for now. BTW- I need to quit being so technologically challenged and learn how to upload pictures straight to the computer from my camera. I'll work on that.

Ok, So Carson's been telling me for such a long time that I need to start blogging. There are so many things lately that we have been going through, with getting married and having our first baby and all that good stuff and this is such a good way to create something that you can look back on and actually remember all of those things! Plus, there are so many different blogs I've been following. It gets so addicting. Its like peoples lives are part of a story and once you start following, it becomes like a book that you cant put down! So welcome to my first post! YAY!
